Busy Places in the Beach
(click on a thumbnail for a close-up)

Some of the places you've heard about in the Beaches and wondered where they were. They may not be tourist attractions, but the Beach just wouldn't be the Beach without them.

The Beach Metro covers happenings in the Beaches and gives us a full report every 2 weeks. See editor Carol Stimmel or assistant editor Bill MacLean at discussing the next issue. The Beach Metro is located on Gerrard St. just east of Main St.

Center 55 is on Main Street north of Kingston Rd. With a motto of "helping people help themselves", Community Centre 55 assists the handicapped, the elderly, the homeless, the poor, the hungry at Christmas, and we provide a variety of programs and services for all ages. Visit their website.

The Main Street Library, (located, of course, on Main (n of Kingston Rd.) has internet access as well as access to all other branches of the Toronto Public library system. Do you have your library card yet?
