Main Responsibilities:
• Ensure all employees are paid timely and accurately on a biweekly basis for 150 – 200 employees.
• Maintain Ceridian payroll database on a timely basis, including new employee set up and updating all employee changes
• Ensure all new hires and terminations are processed on time and correctly.
• Prepare reconciliations and summary reports after each payroll.
• Prepare, review and submit ROE’s to ensure all information is correct.
• Administer employee benefit program.
• Year-end processing of payroll reports, including year end reports and reconciliation of T4’s.
• Prepare WSIB returns and file on timely basis.
• Review travel & Entertainment submissions for accuracy and prepare summary for input into biweekly payroll.
• Maintain confidentially around payroll records.
• Using AccPac assist AP Coordinator with AP invoice posting.
• Other miscellaneous accounting department duties as required.

Experience and Skills:

• CPC (minimum) and actively enrolled in the CPM Certification program.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on payroll experience with Ceridian Insync Payroll program.
• Computer literacy skills, including Word and Excel the intermediate level.
• Natural appreciation for detail.
• Basic knowledge of accounting an asset.
• Ability to exercise extreme confidentially and must maintain professionalism at all times.
• Strong verbal communication skills – ability to effectively interface with internal clients.
• Goal and deadline oriented supplemented by strong time management skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Minimum 2 years office experience in a professional environment.

Additional Information:

• This role reports to the Controller.
• The tentative schedule for the role is Monday-Friday; 8.00-5.00 p.m.
• This is an intermediate-level role offering an attractive total compensation package that includes a base salary, performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits plan.
