The 2004 BEACHES ARTISANS’ MARKET @ WOODBINE PARK features the works for sale of over 60 emerging and established artists, craftspeople and designers. Highlights of the first annual event include Anyes Margrain’s one-of-a-kind wearable art and accessories, Montreal-based Antoine Biboum’s African-inspired sculptures, Joanne Bigham’s puppets and puppet theatres and fine art originals & prints by Tomolennon. The Market, which hosts new exhibitors each day, also offers a wide selection of head and body jewelry, as well as purses & accessories, original visual art, photography, stained glass, ceramics, custom-designed tattoos, neo-vintage-fusion fashion and high-end hand-crafted imports from Uzbekistan, India, Egypt and Israel. The 2004 BEACHES ARTISANS’ MARKET takes place over two weekends -- July 17, 18, 24 & 25 -- from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Woodbine Park on Queen Street East, just east of Kingston Road. Admission is free, the venue is dog-friendly as well as wheelchair & stroller accessible, and there is plenty of free parking in the area.
