Beach Boathouse, Today
The Boathouse on the Boardwalk can once again be an important part of the community.

The committee that successfully worked to save the Leuty Lifesaving Station has started a new campaign to restore the Boathouse.

The committee plans to restore the exterior of the building to its original splendor. The interior will be redesigned for use as an activity centre and meeting place for seniors, service clubs, community activists and other local groups.

The committee to save the Boathouse on the Boardwalk on the Beach is seeking support and funding from a wide range of sponsors, including:

  • The Municipality of Toronto
  • The Ontario Government
  • Foundations
  • Local Businesses
  • People in the community
  • The Boathouse can be restored and turned into a community centre with your help and support.

You can help preserve our heritage:

  • Take part in local fundraising events such as raffles and concerts
  • Visit the Boathouse and imagine it as a community centre
  • Talk to your local politicians
  • Support the corporate sponsors and local businesses who help in this community effort
  • Invite a member of our Speakers Bureau to your school or service club.
